The Temple Of Apollo is located close to Side harbour, about a five minute walk from Side town centre. The temple apparently was given to Cleopatra as a token of Anthony’s love to her. It is dedicated to the God of Light, Beauty and Art (Apollo). It was built in the second half of the 2nd century A.D and it is surrounded by other important ruins that date back to 7th century B.C.
Side has the second longest white sand beach in all of Turkey. Surrounding the old city of Side there are two major beaches, one is the east beach and the other is the west beach. There are lots of water sports & activities offered on the west and the east beaches of Side. It is gently shelving and most suitable for small children. There is now a new walkway from Old Town Side all the way to Kumkoy and that is suitable for wheelchair users too.
Onrushing rivers, sublime lakes, extensive coastlines, impressive mountains, striking caves, captivating canyons. Side is the ideal destination for those seeking to combine their vacation with adventure sports and athletic activities.
